A recent report provided by Infonetics Research on VoIP, UC Services and Subscribers showed the VoIP market groing to $20.7billion in the first half of 2009.
The majority share of the VOIP growth was mainly due to the residential sector which was up 14% when compared to the end of 2008, however business VoIP figures showed a slowdown in IP PBX growth, but a forcast of a 26% increase due to the growing popularity of Hosted VOIP & UC business solutions.
Diane Myers, The Directing Analyst of service provider VoIP and IMS at Infonetics Research, said “Demand for residential and business VoIP services continues to grow even as spending in other communication areas tightens.”
